This webinar will be the first step toward a physical one-day workshop on professional data visualization on June 11th.
Note that this webinar will be held in English.
What is this webinar about?
We’ll examine the types of problems data visualization excels at solving and examine some of the most advanced visualization solutions and we’ll introduce three little-known yet straightforward and effective visualization techniques that you can use immediately for time-oriented data.
As HCI Pioneer Stuart Card once said: “Data Visualization should be for the mind, what cars are for the feet.” Yet, all too often, data visualizations are reduced to non-functional eye candy that does not yield the deep insights into the data that it could and should.
In this informal yet informative talk, you are invited to go beyond the common understanding of visualization to present and monitor data and dive into visualization as a tool for interactive data exploration and analysis.
Do this sound interesting?
You also have the opportunity to participate in the physical one-day workshop, Beyond the Graph: Exploring Interactive Data Visualization, where you will get hands-on knowledge, and learn to create new ways of solving problems and making decisions with data.
You can read more about the workshop here.
